For its latest men’s collection, lululemon collaborated with Roden Gray, an independent Vancouver retailer that has been an influential source in the fashion industry for the last decade. Launching in February, the seven-piece military-inspired collection blends the best of function and fashion to support sweaty pursuits, while designed to look like sophisticated streetwear. The garments fuse military features, including webbing and stiff cotton drawcords, with the athletic details of reflective lettering, and four-way stretch and sweat-wicking fabric.
Each of the seven pieces features black reflective “LXRG-9807” custom artwork, representing the lululemon x Roden Gray collaboration and when each company was founded—lululemon 1998, Roden Gray 2007. The jacket, pant and short are made with durable, four-way stretch and water-repellent Swift fabric. The long-sleeve and short-sleeve tees are made with a lightweight jersey fabric, Intersec, and paired with Mesh for increased ventilation when working out. The hoodie is a clean and simple pullover, made with a naturally-breathable Tech Fleece fabric. And, the 3⁄4-length tight features a collage of reflective artwork on the back of the leg—a highlight of the piece.
This latest men’s collection represents lululemon’s ever-evolving approach to function-leading aesthetic and Roden Gray’s ability to translate high-end fashion into everyday wearability. The lululemon x Roden Gray Collection will be available online and in select lululemon stores globally as of February 8, 2018.
