Digital Printing

The Art of Digital Printing

How photo-real prints come to life through both artistry and process.

This season we created a highly artistic and vibrant range of prints using two techniques: digitally printing and digital engineered prints.

Digital printing is used to highlight intricate prints and photo-real imagery. The process allows our design team to beautifully reproduce handmade or photographed artwork onto our garments with a higher level of detail than ever before.

Engineering takes digital printing to the next level. This technique allows us to strategically place prints on the body to highlight and contour the body in motion. Through body-mapping, we’ve designed and placed our prints to show up in exactly the right places.  You can experience digital engineering in the Speed Wunder Tight and Energy Bra in Florence and Marble Mix prints.

Marble Mix, created by one of the digital artists on our concept team, began with a small swatch of a marbled pattern and was manipulated to create a larger scale print. We then added a subtle herringbone pattern on top for a deeper level of detail and texture.

Florence, was inspired by a vintage piece of lace, and meticulously hand-drawn by our design team. Over 100 hours were spent recreating its delicate nature and intricate detail, all while mastering its movement on the body, down to every hand-drawn interconnected circle. Digitally engineering Marble Mix and Florence was the perfect way to bring this level of detail to life. Using digital engineering + digital printing on nylon gave us the ability to bring both of these prints into your workout in their truest forms, with all of the colour, vibrancy and detail we saw on the screen.
