Group of people practicing yoga on the floor

In a year, 2.5 million people will sustain a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in the United States. It’s an overwhelming statistic, but for Kevin Pearce, it’s a call to action.

In 2009, Pearce, a lululemon elite ambassador, sustained a traumatic brain injury that ended his snowboarding career. He re-learned how to walk and talk, and took on the challenge of accepting a new reality. With his brother Adam, he founded LoveYourBrain, a non-profit organization that creates community-building programs to improve the quality of life for people affected by TBI.

LoveYourBrain’s TBI-friendly yoga is designed around a theme of resilience and meeting participants where they are, regardless of how severely they were injured. The LoveYourBrain program is now offered in seven US states and is only getting started.

The film we created with LoveYourBrain tells the story of two brothers who share the vision of a community where TBI survivors tap into their potential by embracing exactly where they are.
